My ex's father kept guns (he was ex military and a target shooting competitor) and he had so many rules to follow for being licensed to store his guns.

Visit from police to ensure his front door had a dead bolt and windows could be locked with a key, guns had to be stored in a specialised gun cabinet secured to the wall out of view of casual visitors/windows, ammo couldn't be stored with the weapon etc. Health evaluations, could only store what was listed on his licence etc (could apply for a variation if he bought more/replaced)

Now I know the Good Ol' USofA wouldn't be as strict as this otherwise they wouldn't have the problems they do but if you aren't going to promote gun control because you're a country jam packed with backward SeCoNd AmMeNdMeNT shitcunts the next best thing is to promote basic gun safety?

Schools in America had gun clubs and firing ranges until about 1969. Kids drove to school with rifles on gun racks. Mass shootings were non existent at that time.
