Brighton (H, FAC) 28/2: Build-Up & Match Thread

You'd think the trio of Lemina, Gomes, and Doyle would be able to decently control the pace of things.

No idea how they haven’t scored there.

That was a let-off for sure.

Buonanotte is giving Fernando Forestieri. Don't like it.

I just don’t understand this team.

And we’re playing fucking dreadful.

Surely - surely - this has to be a bigger game than Newcastle.

I mean I get it, he’s not a back to play type of forward but why is he incapable of controlling the ball or passing to a team mate?!

Not if there’s no one in front of them.
They've been as guilty as the rest of the team about losing possession cheaply tbf. Whole squad has been poor about it.

We might as well be playing Fabio up front for how terrible Hwang and Bellegarde are at holding up the ball.

Admittedly lumping it over their heads doesn't do them any favours.

There’s nothing stopping Gaz from putting Fraser on through the middle and shifting Hwang to the left where he’s far more effective.

Hwang must be subbed surely? Not only has his touch been crap, he looks knackered as well.

This doesn't look great for Mario. :(

Edit: not me getting anxious for nothing.

Better get the A team on second half.

Nasty that one, stamps right down the back of his Achilles, sort of challenge that fucked Boukari here.

Seems to be ok fortunately.

I think it's just really painful rather than any lasting damage
The way comms love to refer to that tackle as being "dragged down his Achilles" puts me on edge!

Oh Mario, you had so much space, no need for the extravagant there.
