Spiers reckons they’ll revert back to two up top tomorrow.

Would be disappointed with that. Podence needs to start.

I can see us going 352 but I wouldn't. Burnley will want to get the ball wide and I would prefer Doherty to have a bit more protection against McNeil (if he plays on the left that is I suppose). Like you say Podence deserves to keep his place too.

Don't knock the little ones, Pele was only 5'8" :)

Nowt wrong with being 5'8'' (Jinkles ain't that big by the way)

PQ is talking bubbles though.

Didn’t we play awfully against them this season playing 3-5-2? Let’s go after them in a 3-4-3 and get ahead. Same team for me but Jota in for Neto.

Not really - tarkowski is excellent against physical strikers - he gets in tight, makes it hard for them to turn and he’s good in the air. He can’t use his physical abilities to the same extent with podence as that’s not pods game, and if he gets physical with him, pod will go down for a penalty. We’re not going to be crossing for pod to do anything in the air, and pods low centre of gravity is the thing that causes tarkowski the most problems.

Im not sure which bit is hard to understand tbh.

You’re welcome on the two games bit too btw, shout if you need any help with other wolves stats... :disco:

Tarkowski won't struggle because Podence is small but because Podence is skillful.

Spot on, Carrotdude. It didn't work last time, and we were lucky to still be in it at the death. God, that game feels like an age ago! I thought it was last season!

Or maybe because he'll primarily be against Charlie Taylor

Definitely can’t play Adama if a low centre of gravity is required.

One last point on this and I’ll shut up - playing to your opponents weakness is common sense, which is why it always surprises me that more centre forwards don’t sit on Coady - Whilst Boly and Saiss take them off him when they can, it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest to see Chris Wood sit on Connor this weekend with Rodriguez playing off him.

I said earlier today I think Nuno will go 3-5-2 so Moutinho and Donk both play, with Jota and Raul up top.

I often get the 352 argument when we are going to be out manned in midfield. That's not going to happen against Burnley. Donck for defensive set pieces is a nod to stopping them play, the rest of the team should be chosen to suit how we do, which at the moment is 343

Just seen its Mike Dean reffing tomorrow. Kevin Friend on VAR duty.

Just had a look at his feed. I can't see anywhere he says that.
