Like a lot on here i don't get it BUT millions do.Oh, and he loves esports. I don't know enough to comment about it but he said it was a passion of his (and you can tell), and he wants Wolves to be at the forefront of whatever growth is can have.
The bEatties arena.Like a lot on here i don't get it BUT millions do.
Esports is massive in China and us being involved could help us, especially with China getting narky about money being invested outside of their country.
I wonder if Jeff is wanting some sort of Esports arena in Wolverhampton. Fosun have already offered to build one in China

Really? You kept that quietI can’t stand the smarmy twat
We don't actually need more capacity though. You can get a ticket for pretty much any game you want 24 hours before kick off. No-one is missing out now because we don't have enough seats. That would be absolute peak Shi. Has an esports stadium built in Wolverhampton but doesn’t spend any money on the actual stadium that the PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALL TEAM play in.
Fucking pillock x 3. That’s a hatrick.
If it was cheaper more people would go, if we extended the stadium they'd make more money - eventually. We don't actually need more capacity though. You can get a ticket for pretty much any game you want 24 hours before kick off. No-one is missing out now because we don't have enough seats.
Disagree, not in any meaningful sense they wouldn'tIf it was cheaper more people would go
I mean, I can only talk about my own personal circumstances - but the main reason I haven’t yet taken my son to his first Wolves game (he’s 6 now) is because of the ridiculous cost involved in doing so. I just can’t justify it when that money would be better spent elsewhere. I absolutely understand that others may decide it’s worth it.We don't actually need more capacity though. We do have a stand that is rapidly becoming a relic but it isn't a simple decision to do anything with it, it's expensive, you lose a side of the ground for a season (minimum) and given that we've basically hit the limit in terms of what you can reasonably charge to watch a mid-table team play in Wolverhampton, how do you make that work financially.
Then why were you so cross about them hiking up the prices and talking about how many fans we have lost/losing over the last 12 months?Disagree, not in any meaningful sense they wouldn't
And we're never averaging 40,000
You really need to ask? I mean, really? Then why were you so cross about them hiking up the prices and talking about how many fans we have lost/losing over the last 12 months?
You know how these things work when you have a dislike for someone. You’ve been doing it towards Doc (and many others!) for years. Forum rules state I have to go in emotionally and double footedI'm all for kicking Jeff Shi but you're not being reasonable.
You want him to commit to spending £50m (at least) on a new stand, accepting that we'll lose literally thousands off capacity for a year minimum, probably two while that's all built, AND you then want him to hack prices away so we lose even more income from where we currently are.
All so we might get 36,000 against Man Utd rather than 31,000, but we'll still only probably get 28,000 against Bournemouth or Palace.
It's fine to make the argument that we could do it and well, it's a simple fact that the Steve Bull is rapidly coming to the end of its lifespan as an acceptable Premier League stand. It's not the absolute tap-in you're making out though.
