Strange that Gomes is captain after Toti, Doc and Sa having it a number of times between them over pre season and the end of last season, yet Gomes has had it once.

Glad it's sorted though, interesting one given that Joao has had his issues with communication, maybe that's why he didnt initially put his hand up!
 
Toti is....ready.

“I definitely feel ready. We need to be ready and if you’re not ready, you need to be ready. I’m very excited for the new season because it’s always good and everybody has been waiting for the Premier League to start again.

“It’s really important to get off to a good start and get as many points you can at the beginning, so you can be more comfortable during the Premier League season. Of course, you need to think game by game, but we definitely need to try to make as many points as possible early on.

“It was kind of like a relief with the way that we finished last season, but we need to take the good things from last season and try to implement them this season, but also improve again. We have some more stuff that we need to improve, but it’s going to come with the games.”

As evidenced by how we performed when Johnson and Lemina were captain v how we were when Coady and Semedo were captain it's not just a "piece of cloth".
 
Seems to be a few staff behind the scenes are leaving the club. Was told yesterday that Russell Jones was leaving and it seems he may have confirmed that on LinkedIn today.

Guy who told me said that others have left and will be leaving and mainly due to unrealistic expectations set from Jeff. One specific thing i was told was something like they wanted over a million users of the Wolves App etc.. not sure whether that number was exaggerated to make the point but whatever the goal it was highly unrealistic.

We all know Jeff’s not very good at his job and is a massive prick but everything i’ve heard from inside that wasn’t public knowledge as such just further cements that.

RoJo and Mario being captains are waaaaaaaaaay down the list of reasons we were shit at those times, IMO.
