Israel-Palestine

Dear me. The power of primitive religious indoctrination. Will they ever learn?

He’s just rolling through as many sensational moments as he can to distract from the Epstein shit.

Genuine question, how many Israelis jave died at the hands of Hamas since October 7th?

Is this fucking real? Tell me this isn't fucking real

Not a lot of sympathy I’m afraid.

The manifestation of direct action lunatics on all sides across all campaigns running the authorities ragged pushing boundaries too far for too long.

What did anyone think was going to happen?

Been coming for a long, long time and sadly all so predictable.

There's an element of incoherence though. The police don't do similar at far right hate rallies, even when hotels are being attacked.
So why arrest & criminalise at such an apparently peaceful protest?
Absolutely. They are peacefully sitting there holding a sign, not shooting innocent women and children queuing for food. This is just wrong and a waste of police resources and time.

I would argue it is very coherent. This government got pilloried for taking action against people after last years riots, so to balance the scales they have inappropriately used terrorism legislation to target peaceful protest against government over reach.

I disagree. That action/ policy was in relation to riots.
This wasn't a riot situation. It was a protest event.
The incidents in Essex recently, amongst others are protest events that go beyond.

Let me say, as I've always said, and I will always continue to say, that riots are socially destructive and self-defeating. ... But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard.

Hmmm, appeasement?

We’re way past that. Both sides could list limitless examples of unfairness and leniency towards the other side and with some justification imv. They’ve both been hell bent on silencing the other and rejoiced like a bunch of fucking juveniles at perceived successes whilst being too bloody minded and stupid to realise we’d inevitably end up where we are.

You can’t weaponise the police to great effect when it suits you and abuse the right to protest and then complain when it turns full circle and bites you on the arse.

Those arrested yesterday weren’t arrested for simply attending a peaceful protest. We can debate the rights and wrongs of the legislation itself but all those arrested can have no complaints whatsoever.

One last thing, there is a beautiful synergy now between the left and right with the screams of ‘abuse of power/right to protest/free speech’ etc etc.

It is somewhat amusing that on those issues at least, you’re all finally singing from the same hymn sheet.
