Yeah. Digital ID is a good idea for many reasons, but shoehorning it into the immigration issue seems like a mistake.

Quite how that becomes an Orwellian nightmare I dont know.

One thing it won't do is cover for a monumental cyber attack, we could all do with a physical ID in that instance.

I don't have a problem with it, but I'm not sure what benefits it will provide us with, and i imagine it'll come at great cost.
