Lambert

Lambert would have signed solid top half Championship players, after all Ruddy and Bennett were really his signings. It's a weak league this year, we'd be in and around the play offs if he'd stayed, but like Bruce at Villa if he had somehow got us up it would need a complete rebuild once we were there.

Were they his signings? Or was it just simply decent players available on a free who happened to come from Norwich. The Ruddy deal wasn’t even mentioned until after he was sacked

Jota, Neves & Boly wouldn't be here. Nuno had to step in to get the deals over the line.
Yeah, there is just noway they would be here..Lambert is old school now, phone 'arry and get a cup of tea and talk ancient football..

Ruddy was offered a contract by us at the start of the Summer when Lambert was still here, it was him that dictated the timing of his arrival as he looked at his options.

Ruddy mentioned he'd been talking to us for a while. We just rushed it through when Carl's illness was discovered (and then quickly signed Norris afterwards)

Overly harsh. He promoted a lot of the kids, including MGW in a tough game v Stoke and we did play some good stuff at times. He showed he had the balls to go for it but lost it in the last couple of months and that cost him. He is a manager that is carrying his Villa experiences around and the first sign of problems he fell back into the bad habits picked up there.

We'd be like villa are now if we had Lambert in charge.

At least we'd still have our 'soul' or whatever.

We'd be bloody brilliant on a cold Tuesday night in Barnsley as well.
