I`ve enjoyed watching the U21s more than watching the senior team.

The U21 has the same format as the euros did between 1996-2012.
Means most teams are of a quality and very few dead rubber matches.
On England I think on a technical basis they really kicked into gear once the knockouts started. Better side in all 3 knockout matches they played.

Fun and games at teh Benfica v Chelsea game. Roughly 6 mins of normal time left with Chelsea winning 1-0. Then a weather delay of 90 mins... teams come out and Chelsea do their time wasting gig. 2 mins into 6 mins added on time, Benfica attack, Di Maria goes down like a sniper has shot him... he takes the free kick and it's headed back across only to hit a Chelsea hand... VAR reviews and the ref gives a pen. Di Maria scores. 1-1 . Then we go to an extra 30 mins extra time... watch this space... $13 million at stake for the winners. And we wonder why the game is corrupt.

Update..for anyone who may be interested: Chelsea take a 2-1 lead early in teh second half and then with 6 mins of extra time left, Neto adds a third as 10 man Benfica leave themselves exposed chasing the game. Dewsbury-Hall adds a 4th.

4hrs 38 mins after kick off the game ends Chelsea 4 Benfica 1 after extra time.

Gold Cup Quarter Final - Panama v Honduras goes to pens... not very often you see a pen retaken in the shoot out because the Panama keeper moved off the line before the ball was kicked. Happened here though ... and was the correct decision. Honduras win 5-4.

Nice to see Miami getting thumped by PSG... 4-0 at half time... hope they get double figures to wipe the smile off Garber's face.

This England team look absolutely terrible, Bronze, Williamson and Carter are atrocious.
Stanway and Walsh in midfield are awful

By all accounts a lot of these players starting are getting on reputation as opposed to form.
Cant say I can know from an expert view, however they look abysmal.
The starting back 4 and 2 in midfield have been so bad

Also, is it just me or do the refs in the women’s game take way less shit from players than in the men’s? Nice change of pace tbh.

My takeaway from watching women's football is that it's always too slow.

From a technical standpoint it's always fine, but it's played at half pace compared to the mens game which is always going to hold it back unfortunately.
