The ladies have reached a semi final on 6 straight occasions and men have reached a SF in 3/4 tournaments.
Only one win but it’s not to be underestimated how hard it is the be the eventual winner.
What Weigman and Southgate have done is removed the plucky side going out in a QF attitude and the attitude of it better getting through playing badly as opposed to glorious failure.

Yeah that was poor. Tbf England have had a number of decent chances, they just don't have the quality of Spain.

Very nicely worked goal by Spain, but no idea what Bronze was doing there. Its been a decent game so far. And for all the criticism of Hemp in the last game she's been good so far in this one.

England needed to take one of those chances earlier.
England won’t see enough of the ball to cause Spain enough problems.
Gulf in quality is pretty clear

I’ll forgive them here they’re losing to a far better side technically, the hype since Tuesday has been funny considering they were going to be big underdogs in this game

I think we've actually played quite well, they're just a better team than we are.

We've created 3 or 4 good chances, couple of good saves and a couple of poor shots. England are not out of this yet. Spain are clearly a better team but their defence is suspect imo.

I think we have a few players who are just too average: Walsh, Stanway, Toone are all just a bit 'meh'.
