Sunderland pick up another point. Leeds concede a 94th minute own goal or would have had another point too.

Meanwhile, we sit bottom of the table with 0 points and seemingly no clue what we’re doing, what our gameplan is, what our best 11 is, what our best formation is, where the next goal is coming from or where the next clean sheet is coming from.

Referee was absolutely laughable today. Gave them EVERYTHING and realised on 87 minutes he better stick one of their players in the book.

Got some serious concerns on Vitor. The squad’s the squad - we know what it is - but he is being paid handsomely and needs to get a tune out of it and at the moment we are way off in every possible way. A good opening 20 minutes doesn’t cover up the rest of the mess - we soon buckled and conceded in their first phase of pressure.

Just relegate us already. Absolutely no chance we’re staying up this time around. It’s going to be a miserable season and no chance this squad has a 5-6 game run of wins in them which is what we’ll need.

We’re shite. I don’t think it’s VP’s fault, outside of playing Hwang, but we have shit players. That is possibly one of the worst premier league teams ever.

VP in game changes were just comical and kind confirmed we would lose the game.
JRB, Munetsi aren’t PL players. I’m sorry I’ve seen nothing from Arias so far doesn’t help him getting short burst here and there.
Worst fears are hitting home unfortunately the players that have come in are sub standard to the ones that left.
Don’t worry about relegation that’s nailed on but I’d seriously worry about having a Southampton type season.
The squad is hideous and has zero character, almost seemed happy to see out a 1-0 loss.
As for VP yep had us set up well to start with but was clueless in reacting to going behind and getting back in the game.

The 2003/04 & 2011/12 squads were bad but they picked up 33 & 25 points respectively. This lot will genuinely struggle to break 20 points.
VP has got a dreadful squad but I think he either sets us up poorly or reacts poorly like he did today.
Some of our players are robbing a living being classed as PL players.

Ok, now that we have the players we have, not quite what we wanted, but there are some bright prospects in there.
Now that we have the international break out of the way, let VP get on with getting these lads into some sort of a team.
I agree that whatever happens on the training ground, Hwang just isn't up to it any more, Fer has to start every game and the other new starts need bringing up to speed.
I think these next few weeks will see how much powder VP has got in his keg.
But stop with Hwang.

Another thing, there were many who before the game said Wolves were going to get thrashed. Today wasn't that. The way we played prevented that.
Certainly not good enough to win, but good enough to thwart Newcastle from giving us a thrashing.

I’ve not seen the game, but don’t doubt the judgement of those of you that have. There are extenuating circumstances about today’s game though (but the trend is the trend, I know…), so I’m not giving up on some misplaced hope until I see how we go next week. Which is huge. Amidst the nonsense opinions on the E&S podcast one theme stood out - Jeff and co genuinely think they’ve given VP the material needed to stay up, and they’re already framing that it’s his party. So this wont last long if results don’t come like now.

Saludos cordiales.

VP wins
Leicester x 2 terrible side
Ipswich terrible side
Saints terrible side
Man Utd x 2 first they were down to 10 men second they were very pre-occupied
Bournemouth down to 10 men
Spurs pre occupied
Leaves West Ham and the Villa games where he’s beaten a side with no serious mitigation or absolutely terrible.
Call me harsh but I think it highlight a trend that he struggles against any half decent pl side

What game were you watching? Could easily have been 4

It’s all on Vitor. Jeff game him a 9/10 window and he’s wasting it.
This has to be the most delusional thing I've ever read on here.

The club is five players short of being a mid table competitive Premier League team.

I'd be surprised if they gave him less leeway than GON after 1 point in our first 8 last year. Mainly because that would suggest they had learnt something from that experience.
You’re making the mistake of applying reasonable logic rather than the emotion and hubris that will ultimately tell. At some institutional level GON was their man, to the point they would have persisted if he got a result against Ipswich. VP is his own, and I don’t think they’ll hesitate to pull the trigger and paint it as that sharpish. They’ll then make a hash of the successor.
