I'd be amazed if anyone on here said it was a good idea.

I don't know anyone personally who rates him, whoever they support. He's such a strange goalkeeper and somehow keeps getting handed PL gigs (and getting relegated). I used to say that with Seyi every pass was an adventure, with him it's any save. XG has no use if he's in nets, anything could go in potentially.

Hence a £30m release clause I guess. It still is a fair wedge in mortal worlds but in Premier League price stupidity it is a fairly moderate fee.

He is passable to good at most things but nowhere near elite at any of them.

He scored a decent amount of goals in a struggling side. That will always get people's attention. He strikes me as a player who is a fairly instinctive finisher and is a physical presence, but isn't blessed with any other outstanding attributes.

He dropped off a bit in the 2nd half of the season. Time will tell whether he has something or whether he experienced a Hwang-style purple patch

Jury is still out for me, had a couple of useful seasons. I guess there aren't loads of options of HG, young players with his attributes.
It'll be interesting to see if he kicks on at Chelsea and becomes the new Drogba or drops away and ends up slowly falling down the pyramid.

Chelsea need a focal point up front, they have a lot of flair and creativity but not really a natural goalscorer. Jackson did ok after looking poor in previous seasons, but Delap could really hit on for them with everything he will have working around him.

Jackson would absolutely drive me insane if he were a Wolves player, he doesn't understand offside and goes from looking decent to a parks player multiple times a game.
