Mbuembo going for £70m
We could have got more for Cunha
But lots to spend in January on the panic, avoid relegation recruitmentMore money to spend on no-one?
Option to buy which the buyer can't afford to take up. Fantastic bit of selling.Rashford off to Barca.
Rashford has also taken a pay cut...no clue if its promised to pay him back when they sign him.Sounds vaguely familiar.
Guess where the Rashford deal currently sitsThe Barca transfer policy is nuts.

£30m bid from Newcastle.Wissa has now left Brentfords summer training camp. Suggests he too is off. It's turning into quite the exodus from there this close season.
It almost feels like their owners are sick of the PL and actively trying to take them back to their rightful place
It is. It was even greater bollocks that we attempted to give it a go and were thwarted by a combination of FFP and Covid. The closed shop remains.Much as I dislike Villa, it does feel like bollocks that both them and Forest have to sell to buy after good seasons.
And as you say, Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Arsenal and to a lesser extent City just buy, buy, buy without a care.
They’ve just been exploiting loopholes haven’t they, selling things they own to themselves etc. they also have a conveyor belt of decent youth players that they sell for good money which counts as 100% profit for PSR reasons.I don't think anyone objects to football clubs being reined in to an extent to save themselves from themselves (they've proven over and over that they can't be trusted) but PSR/FFP is such a clumsy mechanism and even more so when it hasn't been adjusted for (football) inflation in over a decade.
Plus I will never understand how Chelsea escape breaching the rules. Don't have a particularly big or modern ground to generate funds, they've given Brighton alone a quarter of a billion pounds in the last 3-4 seasons, how much have they paid managers to go away, etc etc.
