Of those on the periphery:
Robinson: Attitude, attitude, attitude
Cook: Superb figures and I like watching him bowl...but as I say I would worry about him being a bit Woakes away from home
Tongue: Not played since August 2023 and no recent news on his recovery
Stone/Mahmood/Archer: Can't stay fit
Potts/Carse: Averaging 62 and 286 (!) respectively with the ball for Durham this season
Atkinson: Maybe, although he doesn't have a huge body of work to pick from
Fisher: Looked nowhere near good enough in his one cap to date
Overtons: Hunchback rubbish
Currans: Popgun rubbish
I mean, I’m sure Rob Key has it all in hand.
Some recovery from this morning. As in most fixtures of late I’ve had to google to find out who 2 of the bowlers are!I might have to put Ed Barnard back on England Watch at this rate.
Craig Miles put in his best performance picking up a 5 for and did his ankle celebrating the 5th wicket . The overseas player curse continues, ones gone to play for Pakistan in Ireland despite being told they wouldn't call him up, the other rocked up injured which it took two sub par performances for them to discoverSome recovery from this morning. Che Simmons with figures of 6-2-10-3!Some recovery from this morning. As in most fixtures of late I’ve had to google to find out who 2 of the bowlers are!
I would have gone for it but in fairness even limping to 150ao would leave Essex chasing 385, which seems fanciful. Not enforcing the follow on is biting them on the arse
Hopefully Jimmy decides to go one more test and play at Trent Bridge, purely because I'm going
94 all out.Not enforcing the follow on is biting them on the arse
Made 238 today, panic overHere's hoping Crawley is one where domestic form doesn't matter (in fairness he has been very good for England for a while now)
