The Football News Thread 2023/24

How can they turn the wages as a % of turnover round? It’ll be as bad this season and they’ll have no chance with the new rules.

The appeal is just themselves trying to make out it’s a harsh punishment, accepting it would get the fans angry and would see it as an expression of guilt and cluelessness.

they literally got a reduced punishment for copping a plea and co operating. The appeal is a big two fingers to that. Slap a few extra on as well as the two they were given off.

Well at least Nuno won't have it on his record as having relegated them. Next time they lose, probably tomorrow against Palace, he'll get the chop.

What has Henry Winter got to say about the accounts? Vindictive auditors with an agenda?

Onana and Branthwaite will both also bring in a fair sun. Too late now though. Their debt to 777 alone outweighs the value of those three and they need money to finish the white elephant

Henry Winter also doesn’t really give a shit about Everton. His verbiage and gaslighting is entirely to weaken the foundations of arguments against a certain other club with a few charges hanging over its head.

Back from the dead, just in time to save Blackburn

777 have now given Everton more money after saying no more from the end of March.

Few seem to think the PL are going to approve the takeover

This is where Everton fans should get pissed off with the PL.
Clubs they own performing way below expected standards, Standard Liege 10th in Belgium, Hertha 9th Bundesliga 2, VDG 15th in Brazil, Genoa 12th in Serie A, Red Star in France are top of tier 3 but were relegated last season under them.
Safe to say they don’t improve clubs

Is it that the Premier League think it will go into administration without 777 taking over?
