The Football News Thread 2024/25

Our sell on clause was reported as 10% of any profit. Does his base fee at £25m become the figure we sold him for or the total including addons which was £45m?

It's the profit between the sale price and what they've paid us, although it's not been said what that currently is or specifically what those clauses are. For instance we know there's a European one, but is it one level for CL and another for EL/ECL? The max is £42.5m

You’re not wrong there, 2hrs45 to do the last 30 miles was soul destroying. Vitor doing the triple ole ole ole at the end was a bit odd though I thought.
Getting there was far worse than getting away on Friday. Absolute nightmare whichever route I tried across the city. Compounded I think because a teen pop group were playing at the CoOp Live which is behind the South Stand and appeared (from their queues) to have a similar start time. Mad planning.

Getting back was dead easy, we parked near Piccadilly and it was a flipping nightmare getting in. Over an hour to do 5 miles.

On the trip I did with Deutsch there had been a major fire in the City which made the final few miles in a nightmare.

On the way back the M6 was 1 lane from J19 and the queue back was all down the bypass and the motorway through Manchester. Took around 2 hours to get to the M6 junction and then ignored the motorway and went through various posh villages.

Got home around 3am.

All that still not as annoying as the chance missed by Bright right at the end of the game.

The replies 😅
State of it. Look at this guy, absolutely fizzing

Fuck off you snake, you’re dead to us. You could have been Steven Gerrard but chose to be Michael Owen. Hope you live to regret this for the rest of your life you lizard

Is he a snake or a lizard and which one is worse? I'm confused.

Actually thinking about it I'd probably rather be a snake or a lizard than Michael "drives to Madrid Airport every day to buy an English paper" Owen.

Nice reminder of when Gerrard was joining Chelsea but changed his mind after sleeping on it/getting local mafia threats..
Anyway Sky were on the mean streets early doors to get the fans reaction.

After finding a fan and asking his views on the Gerrard news, he had no clue he had pulled out of the move and properly ranted and called him a snake, dead to us now, not a a true scouser and more
SSN reporter informed him of the update and all of a sudden "knew he wouldn't go, true scouser, legend etc etc
