The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

Don't really fancy gammon in this hot weather, but ta anyway

This looks alright:

Not going to book anywhere though. Total lottery on a Friday, can find a nice looking place and when you turn up they're playing some utterly shite music at ear-splitting volume when you're trying to eat.

Anyone got any pub/restaurant recommendations for the Twickenham area? Not going to watch a rugby match, we're just staying there and don't really want to head into central London tomorrow (we're doing that on Sat/Sun).
Guessing you are looking specifically to not travel but stumbled on Stein's in Kingston the other week, lovely German food and beer which you might appreciate! Not walking distance but also not central London (likewise sadly don't know Twickenham even though it's not that far for me)

Isn't certain fruit occasionally supposed to go with seafood?

Google Lens says they are tinned mussels.

Not sure about the red kidney beans underneath though....

Ah - I don't have reddit so can't see that.

I think I would call those three ingredients a bit of a clash.

Apple with scallops works, especially if you get a bit of crispy pork belly involved, but mussels and blackberries is out there.

Bring back plates FFS.
Too true.

I went to Ounce in Worcester a couple of weeks ago, (good place, recommend) however, as the waitress put the food on the table, some gravy dripped onto me, so i had a dirty stain on me for the resr of the day

The meal was served on a chopping board with no edge to it, if it had been a plate, it wouldn't have happened.

Style (!) over substance. 👴

Although that wouldn't happened with LW's tray/plate!
