The January 2025 Transfer Thread

Liam has posted an article saying Agbadou will be our "biggest" signing of the window. We "might try to do one or two more" and confirmed our interest in Veiga.

Make of that what you will.
So shocked...

"We might try".. :ROFLMAO:

We can't just drop £200m in one window you know. We aren't Man City.

Dickhead bingo cards at the ready.
Don't think anyone on here expects us to spend big amounts but it's the comment 'we might try to do one or two more' when I think the majority think we absolutely need to bring in one or two more, whether that's a few loans or 8-10m style players.

"We might try" has fucked me off for more than it should have done, I knew we'd do the bare minimum, but the optics of a comment like that are awful.
That line won't have come from the club. They are most certainly trying for other additions.

Stop treating LL as a real journalist and you'll feel better.
Ffs Judah is his boss as far as i can make out, so what does that say about the credibility of the ex and blaaaah.

I think you're giving the club far too much credit, this is exactly the kind of line I expect to hear. There are plenty of examples of it in the past.

Zinchenko is supposedly available this window too. He'd be alright on loan for 6 months. Can play CM as well as LB.

He didn't want to come to Wolves as a Europa League club did he? Or was it before that?
Would think his rise in importance since moving to Arsenal would make him even less likely to want a step down.

He wanted to stay and fight for a place in the Arsenal team IIRC.

If it's been made clear he is surplus to their requirements I'm sure he'd be willing to do a loan for 6 months so he can play. Given that he's a ball-playing defender and DM I'm sure he could play the hybrid LCB role that Vitor wants.

Manchester City not Arsenal.

Ben Chilwell is also available.

Wages would be a huge issue for us in both cases. I’d expect we could only do either (that’s if they want to move to us) with their club paying part. I can’t see that happening as other clubs will no doubt be interested in footing the full amount.
