The Race to be Relegated 24/25 Thread

GON 9 points from 16
VP 13 points from 10
GON goals against 40 from 16
VP 14 From 10

The fact that so much of the national media kept pushing for us to be an English manager benevolent company those facts screem at you loud and clear that it’s complete bollocks.

Although it's often thrown around to demonstrate how shit a team is being officially down by Easter actually very rarely happens. If Wolves get 3 more points than Southampton between now and then they officially will be.

Ipswich have played 7 league games in 2025 and only have 2 points, some hammerings in there too. If we can't keep ahead of them and Leicester from this point and position then serious questions need asking
They battered Spurs early on yesterday but they seem to have the same defensive issues that GO had here.

First proper attacks against them and they were 2 down.

Ipswich are thoroughly crap. Get a bit of kudos cos of the great job McKenna has done and the fact they're slightly better than Leicester but they're still shit. I mean they lost at home to Southampton.

From what I saw on MOTD last night Alex Palmer was no longer the 2nd coming of Lev Yashin yesterday

Leicester have sacked 2 of their first team coaches left behind by Steve Cooper

Our home form will be what sends us down if we go down.
W3 D1 L9
Remaining home games v Everton, West Ham, Spurs, Leicester, BHA & Brentford.
Have to aim to be unbeaten at home at least.

Agree we should aim for that, but likelihood is we’ll lose a couple at least and still stay up pretty comfortably.

9pts from them 6, & point v Ipswich gets us to 32,
They need to win 5 out of 11 to pass us, that's not going to happen

The situation is very much under our control.
If you’re being generous you can Ipswich up to about 31 points with their fixtures. Means we can probably draw our way to safety.

West Ham away at Leicester is the most inexplicable result. 3 points they absolutely didn’t deserve, regardless of the scoreline. Surely West Ham take some form of revenge tonight, anything else and Leicester will already have a points total for the season completely out of kilter with their ability.
