The Road to World Cup 2026 and UEFA Nations League

Subs made a big difference for me, ah there you go.
Mr Tickke's got the gist.

That’s an abysmal result, however due to FIFA allowing almost 25% of the world to be at next years World Cup plus USA being seeded they’ll have enough to get out the group and probably the round of 32. Thereafter it’ll be a massive struggle probably might benefit from home crowd pushing them on. Alexi Lalas optimistic view point looks a bit far fetched currently.
Panama aren’t terrible; they’ve sort of replaced Costa Rica as the best of the rest in CONCACAF. Good manager, too.

Still one we shouldn’t be dropping. That’s 2 losses in our last 24 home matches; both were against Panama.

I'm watching a different game to you. Passion, skill, committment, intensity, tactical awareness, some great fast attacking moves as far as I can determine.

There again it's St Helens vs Warrington 😉
Recorded it, more fool me, anyway just started to watch it.

I'll say it, because everyone else is thinking it. That's xenophobic bollocks
Oh ffs sake!
It's nothing xenophobic and you know it, you all call munetsi marshmallow, i call vitor vic.
Unless of course toby, you're suggestion is because i mildly criticised how we played first half, which i found not so different to the way southgates teams played.
so whichever it is you know and i certainly know, there's nothing xenophobic about that post whatsoever.

Like many football fans nowadays that watch a Team from the top divisions on a regular basis and barely sees an English player start for their side, International football doesn’t really do it for me.

I mean it clearly is, his name is Tuchel you call him Tickle, it's as xenophobic as you can get, foreign person has a strange name so I'll anglicise it. 1 person calls Munetsi Marshmallow, it's not xenophobic, just shit and my virtual or real name isn't Toby either.

Damn straight, don't give my flowers to these other posers

My name is paul, greeks call me pavlos,
Should i slash my wrists or theirs.
It's a nickname, we've all had one or got one, and that includes people with a foreign name.
If my sense of humour (irish), isn't yours just ignore it, don't get all woke about it.

What does the word "woke" mean to you Paul?

IIRC, despite him being told what it actually means, he believes it's PC v2.

Thread 'Can somebody tell me exactly what is woke, please.' https://www.wolvesforum.co.uk/threads/can-somebody-tell-me-exactly-what-is-woke-please.38767/
Ok, i've just been back and read the "what is woke" thread top to bottom.
There are so many different descriptions, just from forum members, i'm not sure there is a true description of it.
Some toss it aside, as just overblown PC, others as a sign the user is a stuffed shirt, or as when i've used it, meant as a pisstake.
Whatever, but it's not easy, with so many different explanations.
So with apologies for ruining a footie thread, i'll use it as a piss take, and continue to blunder on with pc x 2, or see the user as a smart arse wishing to dictate his views to everyone else, whether they asked or not. 🤗

Read it twice and still don't understand it, maybe try a third?

I sent you a PM with a link that clearly explained what 'woke' actually means and it's origins, but hey, you be you and carry on complaining when you get pulled up on stuff.

Edit, here's the relevant part of the link for you:

Woke basically means awake.
The word, however, as a term was officially added in 2017 to the Oxford dictionary and is defined as "the well-informed, the up-to-date especially in relation to racial or social discrimination and injustice".
According to Urban Dictionary, the term describes someone who is "aware of what is happening in society, regarding racism and social injustice."
So the woke "culture" has NOTHING to do with the LGBT communities, nor with the nonbinary, nor with the intersex, nor with the homosexuals, nor with the transgender - commonly trans- people.
These are to clear up the wrong expressions, usually ironic, regarding the word woke, which is usually used by users to describe the above categories of people.

Thanks for that, apolgies for not seeing the link you sent, that makes it so much clearer.
Just double checked, can't see the Pm, but seriously thank you.
Clearest description of woke, and just what was needed.
🙂

Maybe I'm thick but I don't see the difference between the two.

Marshall is a popular male name in America therefore calling him Marshmellow isn't derived from his name being foreign. Mr Tickle from Tuchel is. Look at those foreigners with their weird names, same level of humour as Mind Your Language
