Of those 17, Doherty has barely kicked a ball in the last 12 months, RAN is linked with a move away and Traore/Neto/Kalajdzic are coming off the back off serious injuries.

As an absolute minimum, another CB and midfield option are required otherwise we're one injury away from a disaster at CB, CM and CF.

Podence eventually going will push us through the £100m barrier in incomings and we must have trimmed 500k off the wage bill, so that's another £25m saved across the season.
