JUST IN CASEHe did a goodbye video on the pitch FFS!
JUST IN CASEHe did a goodbye video on the pitch FFS!
What a weird message.
Doesn’t actually say he’s leaving or he’s left.
“Transparent”? Jog on.
He wants us to do well, and get to the level we should be at.
It's vacuous platitudes that all footballers roll out when they leave (except for Ruben obviously)
Thank you for being decent for 1 1/2 seasons.

Is Ki-jana Hoever a joke to you?Not Nelson's responsibility, but his transparency obviously didn't motivate the club to get its arse in gear and replace him, and reach any kind of 'level' apart from keep that of relegation candidates!
it's all in the past tense. Saying he will always love us and miss us is pretty clear imo? What a weird message.

The guy has played for us for 5 tough years, has been one of our most consistent performers for the last 3, has been our club captain and the best you can come up with is 'Jog on'? How fucking ungrateful.
I suspect that's a little bite back at VP for his comments the other week. The transparency will always be between him and the club. I don't know anyone who discusses their contract in the public domain.
He recorded a goodbye message on the pitch, moved out of his house in Wolverhampton, and when his contract expired, didn't sign a new one. But, as you pointed out, he was our captain and could have been a bit more honest as to his intentions. I’m fairly sure he knew he was going long before now.
Anyway, we move on.

Absolute bollocks; if the club weren’t planning as if he wouldn’t return, that is the club’s failing, not Nélson’s.But, as you pointed out, he was our captain and could have been a bit more honest as to his intentions. I’m fairly sure he knew he was going long before now.
I really liked him and his contributions, he did have his shortcomings of course as did every player we've had. People will always point to his lack of goals and assists and his occasional brain fart at the back post, while not giving enough credit to his injury record, pace, athleticism, ability to get us up the pitch quickly, one on one defending. Never any strops either.Absolute bollocks; if the club weren’t planning as if he wouldn’t return, that is the club’s failing, not Nélson’s.
“Decent” ffs. How he isn’t considered in the same breath as the likes of Jonny and Boly is beyond belief. Proper professional, proper defender, proper man.
Depends what season he met me in.I'm guessing you and @NicholasG1973 aren't some of the 'beautiful people' Nelson's referring to meeting!
Because Jeff Shi is a prick. It's Wolves that haven’t been honest with us as fans.
Prior to their injuries Boly and Jonny were imperious. No weaknesses like Semedo who was poor in the final third and regularly beaten in the air at the back post. Obviously they made errors but not the same ones time and again. No sleight on him not being on a par with them as they were two of our best defenders, probably the best, we’ve had in fifty years. Semedo certainly improved in his final two years and I wish he was staying but he’s nowhere near the player Boly or Jonny were.“Decent” ffs. Its like your bat signalBecause Jeff Shi is a prick.
Shi is such an arrogant smug wanker he probably thought Nels would come crawling back and would accept the contract offer.
Its like your bat signal
"Someone needs me to call Jeff a wanker, prick, smug and/or a cunt...."
