The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Player and his agent have spoken to RB Leipzig and are happy to go there with the personal terms offered.
Nothing agreed between the 2 clubs though.

If Roma can be persuaded to up their offer to around 15m€, snatch their bloody hand off.
No-one is paying 25-30 ever.

If we're happy to move on Guedes and Silva , are aware that Sasa can't play more than 50 minutes ( assuming he stays fit ) , then surely they have someone lined up to come in as proper support for Larsen .

Previous transfer window experiences of letting multiple centre halves leave or allowing forwards to go out on loan suggests otherwise.

I guess that if I have any reputation at all on here then it’s somewhat pessimistic. Despite that natural state of affairs I do tend to think we will be bringing in some decent numbers and quality. The squad is simply too empty this time as we seem to be genuinely shifting filler, and Jeff must be able to see that VP is a cheap and effective manager compared to the certain recruitment process we’ll be in if reasonable players don’t arrive. We do seem to have written off the first few games though.

Unfortunately, we are likely going to end up with a larger squad of Forbes-like signings. Shopping at Temu instead of Matalan we are...

Based on past experience I don't buy it. The plan will be to spend as little as possible in this window (I think we get a right wing back and that will be it) and then see where we are in January. We look in trouble, they'll spend. If not (haha) then they won't bother

If any of these so called clubs have ever seen Fabio Silva play football, no one is their right mind would pay over £5m for him - and that would be on potential alone.

It must be agent talk, surely. In the hope he’ll get a move of former reputation.

He has - quite literally - been absolute shit wherever he’s been.

I still think we'll get 3 or 4 in. Some of those might be loans with options/obligations to spread the cost into the next year though.
