Said it yesterday and will say it again today. Everything points to JSL going. I’d hate to find out at some point that, having asked politely and to be told “no”, he’s then downed tools or insinuated he’ll go on strike if it doesn’t happen.

A few things don’t add up, though. Vítor’s said he has a “minor achilles injury” and that he’s “hopeful he will start tomorrow”. Now we find out he’s not even with the rest of the squad and definitely not involved. That’s all just a bit weird, no?

Absolutely stinks of a sale. Shi can do the big show saying “he’s not for sale” all he likes, but he’ll buckle - we all know it. Sort of had his hand forced if JSL is kicking off, which would be hugely disappointing. As I say, I hope that’s not the case.

We needed another striker on top of JSL. It looks like Tolu is coming in - but if/when JSL goes, we’ll still be one short and having to play an unknown up top.

Something is either missing or has been misreported there. Either Uche and Tolu are 2 different targets or someone has got the price wildly wrong.
