The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Toti’s having to learn a new partnership with the LWB tbf. Something I discounted too much in regard to RAN’s sale.

But he’s started this season as poorly as last, regardless. Agbadou looking half-asleep all the time is just exacerbating everything else.
Rayan got him out of so many situations because he could give him a shit pass and more often than not it would be controlled and Rayan got us out of the press. Unfortunately i don’t see that happening with Wolfe and Bueno at the moment.

Football is about going to matches and supporting your team.
Something I did regularly for 30+ years home and away whilst we were, mostly, shite. Less so in person since having kids for various reasons. Does that mean I’m no longer considered a fan? I’ll be honest, I’m not quite sure what the rules are any more.

Must be full up just from your own.

Your behavior towards EP was nothing like Jinks or Lycan today and as you’ll note it lasted all of 4 posts. Shows your lack of perspective to bring it up when I was trying to have a laugh with you, especially in the context of a fight between two people willing to punch, not you going around insulting a person’s intelligence and the value of their thoughts entirely because they’ve considered (not even outright disagreed!) an alternative to your opinion.

Take a step back, man, not everything is about you. ✌🏻

Yeah, yeah.

Tip: if you're going to butt into a disagreement and dramatically 'call me out' while acting as forum moral arbiter and bullying expert then at least be consistent.

Otherwise,I won't take it seriously and will certainly 'call you out' right back when I see you walk silently past a ropey exchange just cos you like the 'bully' 👍

Plenty of business being done elsewhere by the looks of it.

Harvey Elliot to Villa.
Donnarumma to City.
Tyrique George to Fulham.
Lindelof to Villa.
Kolo Muani to Spurs.
Wissa to Newcastle.
Sancho to Villa.
Igor to Palace.
Geertruida to Sunderland.
Florentino Luis to Burnley.
Bryan Brobbey to Sunderland.

See I still don’t agree with this bit, but what I can’t deny is that Rayan and Toti just worked together as a pair with their unique tactical roles. Even if Rayan was in trouble, most of the time he could near-blindly pass back to Toti for the punt out of trouble.

Now we’ve got a couple of things going on there that are destabilizing that side of the pitch.
  1. Toti is having to play as a “true” CB and not that LB/CB hybrid thingy OR Wølfe is having to learn to imitate some of what RAN would do
  2. We’ve been swapping between Bueno and Wølfe, which at best stalls out the progression of chemistry
  3. Agbadou’s mistakes have forced/influenced Toti into leaning out of the left channel and closer to Emmanuel, leaving a gap that neither Wølfe nor Bueno seem to have the pace to close if they need to (not really their fault as the gap ideally wouldn’t be there in the first place)
IMV.

You seriously underrated Rayan, man!!
