Penny’s dropped = we must spend one extra penny?Apparently he never said that. Misquoted by someone else (I forget who).

Yeah probably a bit over reaction to call them all average at this point. I've been very disappointed with Arias, tbf there was always far too much expectation on him, hopefully he comes good.I'm not sure on that one, it's only the Krejci fee which raises eyebrows in my opinion (although I'll admit I didn't know much about any of our signings before this summer). The 2 we know for sure that we missed out on (Pubill & Uche) would've been reasonable fees as well.
Getting all 6 (should really be 7) signings perfectly right is going to be hard for any club and I don't expect all of them to be roaring successes but I really don't think writing them all off as average at best is fair at this stage either.
You could have a De Burgh style 4-4-2 (with added Peri-Peri Pulis height at full back)The head-scratcher for me...our first two signings are Lopez for £19m and Arias for £15m...so how do we get them in the side together now? We've signed Tolu so presumably he'll be playing in a 2 so that only leaves the single CAM role?
I think I prefer this to your first option. You could have a De Burgh style 4-4-2 (with added Peri-Peri Pulis height at full back)

Mosquera------Krejci-----Agbadou----Toti
Lopez---------J Gomes-----André-----Arias
-------------Strand Larsen---Arokodare-----
I would not do that
Or 4-4-2 diamond. You could have a De Burgh style 4-4-2 (with added Peri-Peri Pulis height at full back)

It could work, it did under Ballbag's mate for a while and there were arguably more square pegs in round holes then (we didn't really have two strikers and Ratheus isn't a wide player, in fact who knows what he is).I think I prefer this to your first option.
This is sort of feasible. But what do we do with the six 'wing backs'? Lima, R.Gomes, Hoever, Jackson, Wolfe, Bueno...You could have a De Burgh style 4-4-2 (with added Peri-Peri Pulis height at full back)

You really do like to put words in people's mouths and make out they've said things they haven't, are you related to Jinky? You don't have to row back on what you really think just cos Lycan wants to be reasonable and fair all season; that's his prerogative.
It's OK to be pissed off and 'unfair' at the shitshow unfolding again!
We don't have to be reasonable and give the benefit of the doubt again and again and again and again and again when what we get out of the club is the same inadequacy season after season. They don't deserve any more chances, or 'maybe this time's'; they're piss-takers
I don't think any of the signings that have been on the pitch so far look anything other than big downgrades on the players we lost this summer. Lopez looks promising, but so did Rodrigo when he first joined
Teddy was a brilliant footballer
You’re involving me because…?You really do like to put words in people's mouths and make out they've said things they haven't, are you related to Jinky?

Have I missed any? Losing count at this stageCrazy club
