The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Thing is. I personally don’t think we will need loads of additions to have a decent season next year.

If you look at the team, I’m ok with Sa, could upgrade ofcourse but he’s not terrible.

Defensively we’re ok. Of semedo stays still, hopefully Djiga with a full pre season slots in. Hugo bueno back also.

Midfield may be some turnover with Doyle going etc but our starting 2 are pretty much set.

Forward line obviously Cunha is going. That raises money but part of that will go on JSL. Hwang Sarabia Guedes potentially going. So that’s where the turnover will be.

But ultimately if we only sell Cunha, we shouldn’t be in a relegation battle, and no reason we can’t push for upper mid table - potential lower Europe qual with a good run.

Guess it’s how you want the club to progress, but we’re not going to be splashing loads of money to try and break top 6

Gary says you're wrong.

We generally played shit teams though, we did well but we shouldn't get all GON-like on MNF and expect to take on the world.
I’m not. I’ve said I don’t think we’d be battling relegation. Not exactly lofty ambition but I stand by that.

Ofcourse depends on what other teams do and the 3 that come up.

Just think we have a good foundation, especially if we just lose Cunha out of the ‘main players’

It’s also says the club will also buy out the 50% sell on fee Angers inserted into the deal for a fee of around £9m.

50m a left winger?

Sell it fast!!! i view a lot left defensive wingers better than RAN.

I dont understand your obsesion of RAN and Semedo. Have a lot better wingers of that two, lot better defensive

Focus on El hilali to defensive right wing, he only have 21 years:

We’ve proven before that being better paper isn’t everything. Besides, relatively poor as some of those teams may have been, they aren’t exactly a bunch of scrubs.

I don’t recall much optimism about our chances when Cunha got himself suspended.

We did do alright against City though, could easily have got a point, and I don't think it was because Cunha had a good game.

To my eye, we look like a legitimately decent side. The difference Vítor has made to our organization, passing patterns, and attacking build up (still a bit weak tbf) is staggering. IMO.

Benidorm would be an unusual destination for any multimillionaire regardless of timing to be fair.
Would make more sense if the meeting had happened at Alicante Airport but maybe Diogo had the urge to eat a sub standard full English and have a pint of El Carling and get change from his €5
