The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

But in better gossip here we are apparently looking at a young right back from Flamengo called Wesley. No idea if he is actually any good, but the Flamengo fans are not happy if he leaves. They rate him...

The word on the street here in Rio is that Andre is moving on... I have no idea how true that is, but that is what people are saying and I have heard it more than once.
It would need to be a big offer to make it worth our while given we still owe around £16m from a PSR perspective

Also mentioned here is that Jaoa Gomes and Andre are seen as the future of the National squads midfield - so in my mind having them play together week in week out has to be a good thing for their national team chances..... Hoping this influences Andre's view of things...

It’s nonsense. Makes no sense on any level. Only been here a year and for half of it Gaz wasn’t actually playing him or getting nothing out of him, as a result he’s not boosted his value that much and therefore it’s a pointless move to make for FFP benefit and certainly doesn’t make sense for any other reason

Since Christmas he’s been outstanding and even half a season of regular football will have seen his value double at least. He’s absolutely brilliant and if I can see it scouts everywhere will too.

Caicedo only played 45 games for Brighton for 3 clubs to want to spend £100m on him - less than that when Arsenal bid £70m. Assuming no injuries Andre will have played 29 by the end of the season

Yeah and he’s been “outstanding” for less than half those. Don’t get me wrong I think he’s great but a £50m bid doesn’t really do much for us financially and puts in a big hole given we have no other midfielder bar Gomes.

Not a problem for the serious voice people on Talking Wolves. Tommy Doyle has been MOTM on many occasions and is a fantastic player. He’s only not starting because of the embarrassment of riches we have in André / Gomes. ‘Circumstances’. That being the case I’m sure they be delighted with an opportunity opening up for him.

No ‘antics’ either, so in with a shout of POTS next year.
