The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Transfer window only applies to the transfer of a player's registration. Wolves agreed to sell Cunha in January. There hasn't been any tapping up.

We want to win as many as we can - that’s just common sense.

And that always means playing our best available team - which includes Cunha, obviously.

Fuck knows why he wants to go to Man Utd.

If Cunha and Fernandes both start, you’d want at least one on a booking in the first 10 minutes eh

Exactly. He's not going to win a Premier League with them. He'll be lucky to play in the Champions League with them.

Makes you wonder what he meant when was talking about moving on to win things?

Well if they win in Wednesday night, United will be in the Champions League.

He’s played well for us, we’ll make money on him and our model is developing players to use/sell to allow us to compete in the Premier League. He’ll go with no ill feeling on my part and whilst I’ll have a passing interest in how he does, whether he or his new club are successful won’t bother me.

Runners up twice. 3rd place twice. CL football 7 out of 11 seasons. EL winners, likely winners again, runner up. 2 FA cups, and 2 runners up. 2 League cups.

Not that bad is it. Better than most of Sky 6 bar City and Liverpool, and certainly no worse.

These things are cyclical, who knows when or if they'll properly get back to those Fergie heights...it's took Liverpool a long time to get back to being regular winners.

I'd be surprised if they're seriously challenging for the league in 5 years and I certainly can't see that under Amorim, who looks out of his depth IMO.

Cunha of course has a better chance of winning something there than here though, and they still have a prestige about them for players I imagine

Purely hypothetical, but if a club meets the release clause, would Cunha have the ability to refuse?

Not asking because I think there’s a chance of that. Just not sure of all the deets with a release clause.

I would assume that meeting the release clause means that the club is then entitled to talk to the player. The player is under no obligation to accept the move.
