That window was a panic though wasn't it? Because of the daft position we'd got ourselves in, we had to gamble.

You'd hope* that we have a plan.

I’m still quite wary of him but I do think something Hobbs has done well is getting decent fees. £5m for Giles for example as well as the bigger sales.
 
I think I saw in other news the guy arsenal poached from under our noses, marquinhos or something, left arsenal without playing a game for them

He can clearly identify talent as well. Not just the players we've signed but the ones we've missed out on as well. He was big on Retegui, Ekitike & Enzo Fernandez as well, the first 2 are up there with the hottest prospects in Europe now and Enzo moved for £100M+ 6 months after Hobbs tried to sign him.

I just think we can get someone who can do that role without leaking information to children on X, screaming in referees faces or making a fool of himself every time he's in the same room as a film crew.

Essentially a top end scout promoted a grade or 3 above where he should be.

Early days of his time in the role he came across well, very open etc....6 months in and the working for Jeff course (aka how to say yes boss and avoid a P45) took full effect.

KDH would be a good option in CM. Probably Leicester's best player when they got promoted. Can win the ball, dribble and pass. Home Grown too.

Depends how much they'd want though as they paid £30m for him. £20m total including addons would be reasonable.

Not sure about that.

Not only is KDH gash, but central midfield is probably the one place we’re not desperate to look.

Full backs might be a start.

Unless we fancy Doc rolling back the years.

Nothing like judging a player over half a season. It's either "hit" or "miss" isn't it?

It takes time for some players to settle. It takes time for them to understand and develop their style of play in the Prem. Only the very few hit the ground running. I'm encouraged that Munetsi at least got in positions to waste so many chances and there's no dispute he was part of the team that won four games on the trot without Cunha. That gives me hope.

That said, if we're still having the same conversation in a years time about his performances then I'll admit his chances of becoming a better player become less. I vividly remember a certain Steve Bull in his first half season with us and he missed loads of chances. One on ones galore. Then we all know what happened. Not saying Munetsi is going to get anywhere near that level but who knows?

I'd argue the transfer window was successful though. We stayed up. Agbadou and Munetsi were a part of transforming the style of the team with the former being the stand out who absolutely transformed us at the back.

I do want to see more oven ready Prem players come in this Summer though because if we can compliment Agbadou with others of a similar ilk at the back, we can absolutely transform this team into one that can compete in the top 6 to 10. Much depends on the players they are going after and if they fancy the challenge. And, here's something to credit Shi / Fosun with... they have managed to attract some of the very best players to come to Mol. in my lifetime. Time to be positive.
 
At this rate we're looking at needing at least 3 starting XI players (F/W-backs, #10) minimum and if we want a more competitive squad then another CB, actual wingers, a backup ST...and sort out the GK situation though they may take more than one window.

A lot to do.
