The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

I didn’t agree with him going out on loan but it sort of worked out in the end as we didn’t end up really needing him and he got some decent game time at a good level.
We got lucky though, as the club often do when they don't really deserve to.

What would we even have done if RAN had done his hamstring in September and been out until Nov/Dec? Put Toti there and er, do what exactly at CH? Put Doc there, when he couldn't really play on that side 10 years ago a division down?

Yeah, cos him and RAN are so comparable in their achievements with the club
Tongue in cheek, but still weird to tell others not to talk about a player who left and frame as being because he’s no longer here. Rules out a lot of players, namely all of them that aren’t currently under contract.

Without wanting to sound like I’m defending the club, the media team did so the same thing with Yerson last year when he was at Villarreal and similar with Lonwijk at Plymouth, so I’d suggest this is driven by the media team than anything else nefarious.
Was that after we had sold Max?

Oh absolutely, it made no sense without any kind of cover, but we got away with it.

I'm sure we did the same with Cutrone & Gibbs-White as well

I feel like this is where we're going to be in August, riding our luck with a team that's 1-2 injuries away from chaos because they still haven't properly invested in the team again and it's imbalanced.

Maybe too pessimistic but the "Jorge 2.0" (as if v1 ever went away) tactic doesn't fill me with hope. Time will tell.

Nah. He should at least allow the bidding war to start.

Showing reluctance to move is just a tactic to get those who initially stated he wasn’t good enough on his side. Before you know it we’ll be lacking ambition because we haven’t signed him.

Reeks of Ansu Fati who who also didn't want to leave Barcelona for Wolverhampton in a Mendes deal.

Wouldn’t of mattered if we put prime Ashley Cole there with GoN still in charge in September 😉

What is this sorcery that the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford perform whereby they sell a key player and have an instant replacement coming in ?
Helps i guess if you're not run by morons.

Would have been nice to get one player over the line this window phase but of course Fosun etc etc.

It makes very little difference really. The extra window is just a load of FIFA bollocks to justify a shite jamboree that will make next season a long old drag for those teams participating so Infantino decided he must give them a bit of sugar to sweeten the pill on top of the ridiculous millions.

Seen somewhere not to expect any signing untill after 1 st July due to when our accounting period ends.

Hopefully we have players basically agreed to come in for then. Although it’s the hope that kills you

0 goals in 147 appearances for West Ham. Sounds exactly like what we need from that RWB position.
