The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

If Fabio signs and roma are happy with an obligation that would be ace
Remember we had an obligation to sign Forbs...

It would need to have zero clauses. A straight out, July 1st 2026 he is yours. You realise you made a mistake, well tough he is your problem now.

Makes you wonder how good our scouting is. As Jinky says there must be plenty of wing backs available that would be satisfactory and delighted to join us.
I’m not sure this is true. For one, 99% of players we sign who aren’t Academy grads of our own will be delighted to join any PL club, it’s not going to be about Wolves specifically. Second, the eliteness of PL quality is discounted too much, too often. There are only ever 40 starting WBs/FBs in the Prem at any given time, and even then, not all 40 of those will be good enough for a level this high.

I find it hard to believe there aren’t a number of WBs in France, Portugal or similar leagues that aren’t significantly better than Bueno and Hoever.

I feel confident in stating that of those 40 starting WB's 38 will be better than the current Wolves incumbents...

That I can believe, but there are levels between those two and PL quality.

I hear Auxerre and Feyernoord played a couple of young chaps last season, one even plays for Spain U21s

Suspect Blues will be another club that overtake us within a couple of years. Their owners are actually showing some ambition both on and off the pitch.

It's when, not if in my view. What we're doing is not sustainable

Didn’t Feyernood play another player ahead of Bueno when he recoveeed from injury? Maybe he’d be a better option.
As I say. There are literally hundreds of players that would instantly improve us in that position who would also be adequate for a lower to middle PL club.

Yet here we are, a couple of weeks away from playing Man City and we haven’t signed one.

Remember when people were saying it’s great we’ve sold Cunha & RAN so early because it means we can also get our incoming business done early?

Someone break out the rolfcopter.
