The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Oddly I have faith we wouldn't on this...despite, you know, previous facts.

I dont see Strand being a twat over a move but you never know.
Seems good buddies with Lopez to? Can’t see him leaving, or Newcastle bidding 65m

Newcastle will no doubt come sniffing as/when Isaac is sold, but we have absolutely NO hope of signing an adequate replacement ready for the season and as we have zero capable back up option ready to step up, we'd be absolutely off our heads to sell him.

Of course, Jeff Shi will know better than all of us, though. So expect him to be sold and us to be lining up with Sasa up top v City...

I don't think JSL is remotely worth £65m, even in todays market, and I like him!

That said, selling him now would be madness. 'If' Newcastle were serious about that bid, I also think we'd take it and I would expect that to lead almost certainly to relegation.

However [and I appreciate there are loads of ifs, buts and maybes in this rumour] if Newcastle did sell Isak for £130m+ I would expect their sights to be higher than Strand Larsen.

Problem Newcastle are having is they go bigger and they lose out.

They will eventually land on targets like JSL.

I am going to go against the feeling on here though and say we will only sell if JSL goes all Isak/Wissa on us and forces it.

If we weren’t so short of players all over the pitch £65m is getting close to Klman territory in that I don’t think he’s worth anywhere near that and I’d take the money. He’s a good finisher but his hold up play is below average and he’s far from quick. Nevertheless he is PL proven and at the moment that makes him worth more to us than he would be if we weren’t desperate for such players.

It does make getting a back up forward more sensible so that we have someone who could potentially step up if someone comes calling in the future. In the meantime send Newcastle a video of Hwang’s purple patch…
