The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Roughly translated as:

“We’ve dragged our feet horrifically, shown no urgency in the window, and now we’ve got too much to do as well as looking for a new goalkeeper, so he’s not for sale unless we can have your pants down”.

Go buy a backup because Bentley is shite. Cheers.
Dont think Vitor has keeper as a priority so it's more a we dont want to sell, so here is an ott price to make you fook off.

Hopefully the games so far have convinced him a back up is needed though. Have a feeling if one arrives it won't be until the very end of the window though.

All good for me. I’m not bothered about the price, or even the decision, so long as the process is 100% football appropriate. So I’m comfortable knowing it’s been ‘slapped on’.

Sa needs to stay .
We've enough trouble trying to complete all the other obvious gaps, and to offload other players at a fair price without having to dig another hole for ourselves.
Replacing Semedo , moving two of Guedes , Hwang and Fabio out the door , buying another striker or loaning , another midfielder too .
Sa is the least of our concerns .

I wonder if the Sanchez links are another one of our 'look, look, we're desperate for this guy' while actually working on a different RB.
No no, it must be the most cynical take that is correct dontchaknow

Maybe a bit controversial but what about Hojland? For sale at 30m apparently, if we could get him on loan with an option
I know he was mostly shit last season but most players were for Utd, he was decent before he went to Utd?

Whilst I think he could still be very good somewhere (he's a terrible fit for what Amorím wants his teams to do), he ended the season just going through the motions IMO. #headsgone and all that.

Too big of a gamble to be worth what I'm sure would be a lot of money in wages, even if United kept paying some.

Might be lovely if he didn’t want £250k per week.

Good point. You'd think young players would be sensible enough to take a pay cut to get their career back on track, it's not like theyre gunna be on minimum rate but I guess their ego won't allow it.

I would think United subsidising 50% of his wages is the only way he gets a loan/permanent move. Alternative being Newcastle if Isak/Sesko moves to Liverpool/United happen

Looks like that might actually be happening. Fair play to all involved on that one, in fairness!
