Without Jorge Mendes, I very much doubt I’d have travelled across Europe watching Wolves in places like Barcelona………

We absolutely had to take a few hits to make up for the ridiculous talent that he brought us.

Let’s not have short memories - that team that won the Championship was a top 8 PL Team.

I’d take Guedes and Silva today in a heartbeat if it meant Neves, Jota, Moutinho, Boly, Jonny, Patricio etc were coming with them.

Just don’t wave through the Silva and Guedes signings.
The promotion side would’ve been mid to bottom half PL, bringing in Jonny, Rui, Raul and Jaoa propelled us to the next level.

Without getting shot we have 2 choices

1) Loan deal and hope his wages are covered
2) He stays, we get nothing but maybe 1 or 2 moments but the rest of the time he is a sulking, effortless twat and worst of all....@Deutsch gets another year of pointing out how shit he is and how much he hates him.

So if we’ve got rid of that then it balances out the loss on the amortisation of the fee.

With PSR compliance in a relatively good place at present and the recent sales, now was the right time to take the hit, which as others have said I'm sure will have been slightly offset by by the wages reduction.

Once past the point of no return, which clearly was a long time ago, we lost any great bargaining power, so suck it up and move on with a new plan (hopefully)

Think the only comment on his future was Vitor saying in early May that Guedes said he would like to leave if possible.

His media stuff seems to have been ok as well, saying the basic things but can't recall him publicly being an twat about it (not inc a whole host of non performances)

Agreed. I think that’s just his general demeanour. He seems well liked amongst the playing staff and is always included/a part of the social stuff they do away from the club that’s posted on their Insta accounts etc. I just genuinely think he has the face of a miserable PS2 Pro Evo player (hope I got that particular insult correct).

How are we doing for squad spaces & do we need to do anything as far as homegrown quota etc goes?

Currently 28 players in total, 7 HG players, 5 U21 players who don't have to be registered.
