The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Anyone know much about him? Any good? Does he suit Vítor? From what I read, he’s quick, physical, but needs to work on his final ball.
Fair to say if he wasnt suitable for Vitor, he wouldn't be signing.

The only thing we can be sure of this summer is Vitor has to give the thumbs up for any signing. The era of Hobbs signing a player he likes/is mates with their agent/met on a golf course is over.

Once again a transfer in has come out of nowhere , no twitter links in advance , no one has ever heard of him - and then , bang ,he's flying in for a medical .
Just another striker / forward now......maybe a midfielder as well..............I'd be happy with that . Johnstone out and buy a keeper perhaps as well .
Let Hwang stay and Sasa perhaps ( no one is going to buy him anyway ) . Sell Fabio , and loan out Lima .

I much prefer this type of business.
When I see all the links from SM I always take them with a large pinch of salt and wonder sometimes if it's Wolves themselves putting out disinformation.

He was linked to us by loads of places on Twitter back at the start of July? 😅

On the highlights there on the other page one thing I like that stood out, was the speed he makes the decisions to close the ball/player. I understand that it's preselected highlights but still it's good to see that awareness and decision making could be present.

Defiinitely need a midfielder. I`d bet money on Gomez and Andre picking up a suspension this season.

Yes - and they all came to nothing back then . He was then promptly forgotten about , no one here was bringing his name up - and then , bang ,the deal is done , nice and quietly , no fuss .
Remember Danso last January - now that was a joke , and is not the way to do business . Keep it under wraps .

So there were links then? 😅

I think it's less Shi Stealth Masterclass and more that we ended up going for bigger and better targets in Pubill and Sanchez then went back to Tchatchoua when they didn't pan out

Not sure that's right, it sounds like an actual proper recruitment plan having multiple targets if some don't come off.🤔

That's literally what I said.

But the narrative being pushed here is that it was the plan all along to quietly stalk Jackson with no trace and then pounce.

Whereas actually there were plenty of traces and we'd just obviously gone for more ambitious targets, which didn't work out. Luckily our next choice (presumably) was still available. Doesn't mean he won't be a good signing of course, and I'm happy he looks to be on his way, but it's minimal credit to the club for scraping a key signing in the day the season starts

I was trying to be humourous/sarcastic as everyone says we never have a number of targets, I failed as usual.

It’s just the nature of the level we’re operating at really, isn’t it?

Rarely to any clubs get every one of their number one targets unless they’re operating at a higher level than we are.

Putting aside the speed of signings so far this summer, I certainly like the profile of targets we have been linked with even if they haven’t all come off.
