The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Uche coming or not coming isn’t going to be the difference between us going down or staying up.

Whether or not any transfer goes through, I wish people would just learn to ignore this shit. It's in Getafe's interest to make it look like they're forced to accept it for a start. Easy enough to do if you've got some no mark journalist on speed dial. These idiots will post anything without double checking.
Imagine the damage limitation we'd have to do if we sold all of our goal threats

Yet again late business leads to panicked business.
It’s hard doing business when your recruitment structure is a bag of nails.

Wasn't this bad under Matt Hobbs loike.
He just bought in amples of crap

Just waiting for the SM happy folk to tell me the new signings need time, means they’ll be just fine in time for our relegation.

Worked on Alan when we shipped out Sasa and Fabio and had Fraser up front :)
Next man up mentality doesn’t quite work the same in the PL ay

I was young and stupid! Now I’m less young but still stupid.

Maybe, but even taking things with the lens of the transfer window and it's half truths, rumours and smoke signals that we are privy too etc, it does feel like we are continuing to be the Premierships least attractive sister again.

Not sure many other teams have as many targets that are unsure or seem to be reluctant to sign.

I wouldn’t want to come here unless being offered big money.
Again the hierarchy have deluded themselves into thinking being a PL club is enough of a lure full stop.

Newcastle
Spurs.

Seems this one is more the way Getafe have done the deal rather than a reluctance to join us though (if the noise is true of course)

I don't think the Spurs one is as comparable though. They signed Kudus which I think is a potentially great signing and you'd be confident they underperformed with the squad they had last year, plus are more likely to get additions this week.

I just feel like we constantly squander the advantage of the Prem, by trying to not operate within its usual wage structure or squad size.

It's pathetic that the club still has Mendes, or by proxy, involved in its transfer business after the near 10 years Fosun have been running the show.
