Definitely need a better striker option than Hwang, and CM options are awful for an established PL team

It's ok Krejci (and Uche) being flexible in different positions, but if, say, Krejci excels at the back you don't necessarily want to pull him out of there jist to cover Joao for a short suspension, you need another option ready to step up

For all the bleating this summer and the massive job we had left ourselves at the end of last season that's about as good as I'd have expected given our ownership (assuming we get one more in after Ladislav & Uche).

Obviously most of the players we have signed are relatively unknown to most of the fanbase so we've still got a lot to learn about most of our squad but I trust Vítor on that point and it's clear that he's had a big influence on signings this summer. It's certainly too early to be writing any of them off, If we sign another player that's basically 10 new players from last seasons squad including Mosquera, H.Bueno & Hoever. It will take a while for it all to settle down.

On Uche, I'm still not sure what position we're going to use him in. He seems to have played in every position apart from goalkeeper in his short career so far. When Vítor has talked about needing another midfielder he's specifically talked about needing an attacking player in that position so Uche might be that guy with another player to cover LW/CF on the way in?

It's been a massive summer both in and out and the timing of the transfers hasn't been ideal but if people are still disappointed after this (assuming we do get 1 more) then I don't know what they were expecting really. It's going to be a tough season because it's always tough in the Premier League and with the wages we're paying currently we're always going to be towards the bottom end of this division but I'm not sure what else the people at the club could've done given the restrictions imposed on them from Jeff Shi upwards.

Its strange pay 30m for one defense of 26 years, if have a lot defenses better than he and more low cost like Boyomo, Starfelt, etc..

I read that as a permanent transfer after a tiny number of games, e.g. 3 or so. Like we did with someone else right, was it Cunha? No idea why we feel the need to structure our spending this way though, if I'm right.

If it is a loan, €7m for a loan is steep!

"Wolves have agreed a €7million loan fee with Girona plus a €23m permanent option, which is triggered by a certain number of appearances but Wolves plan to activate regardless, meaning the clubs effectively consider it a permanent transfer."

With no FFP issues, it seems strange we've structured it like this, especially given the money we've brought in this summer.
 
OK, it appears it's not an option but an obligation based on games played, I retract my earlier post about it being a decent deal.
 
The high loan fee is just a years amortisation. Selling club are going to put that in there as protection in case we say no, and for us it makes no difference as it’s just coming off re total fee. As mentioned above, no idea why we need to structure a deal this way unless we really do just want a quick closer look first.

However at this fee he really needs to be one of if not our best player

Surely we’ve done it so we can still spend money on other players in this window without being crippled by this one transfer?

I hate to praise them, but there’s sense in it. ONLY if we go on to sign others, of course.

Does the timing of the "option to buy" have any bearing on financial regulations - for example, if any payment of the option is rolled over to next year?
