The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Always a red flag when an article links someone to both Wolves and Wolfsburg. Smacks of they don't know which one it is that's supposedly interested so names both. In reality we don't operate in anything like the same markets so the odds of both simultaneously being in for an obscure player are pretty long.

I hope it's us. Great name. Shame we don't still have Neto.

We were both probably after Moller Wolfe though, for the likes.

If we are going to sell JSL, does anyone have any idea who we could replace him with?
Did someone post a link to Woltemade the other day? Seems incredibly unlikely as it sounds like Bayern want him but he looked great at the U21 euros.

Could they go back in for Yuri Alberto? Sorloth obviously totally out of range and on huge wages. My fear is that they see Uche as the replacement and if that does go through they'll say yes to Newcastle.

All a bit irrelevant really because we've not exactly done well in any of our recent last minute scrambles. Just putting ourselves in a position we've previously failed in.

I still occasionally check Bleacher Report (mainly as it's one of the few sorts of apps that does work for me when at work) and they still will have news for Wolves, Wolfsburg and the Timberwolves all mixed into the same feed.

I must admit I feel a tad concerned that clubs bigger and better than us seem to be interested in him.
Doesn’t matter how good he is or may become. It won’t happen here, too much baggage and burnt bridges. Just get rid now and take it that the loss isn’t as big as it could have been

I thought we'd get £0.

He's such a cockring that I still haven't ruled out the prospect of him saying no for made up reasons, forcing another loan then just waits for his contract to expire so he gets a bigger slice of the pie as a free transfer.

Yep, for years i've read our players are crap because no one was interested in them.

AC Milan, Roma, Dortmund all want Fabio...by the same logic....

Absolutely, it happens far too often!
