The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Can't imagine Getafe are too happy, didn't they need to sell him to comply with some direction from La Liga?

Must be confident about alternative buyers. Or they’ve had their bluff called in pretty dramatic fashion.

I'm happy enough, I guess, to move on from Uche but it is indicative of where we are and how unattractive a proposition we are to players.

Eighth season in the Premier League and players just aren't interested, what does that say?

As a "brand" (don't really like using that word) where do Wolves stand? It all seems a bit tarnished to me...

We don't know what exactly went on here but this sounds more like his agent being a dick than anything else.

It's a shame as he looks like a good player but as long as we move onto another good player and get that position filled I'll be happy.

I get that... however that's just one example... we keep having to move on from our targets again and again and again... they'll always be "reasons" but it wasn't always this way, was it.

Its definitely more in view but that's the way it works these days.

This summer, in general we have missed out mainly due to going up against some big hitters.
Previous windows was due to pleading poverty over trying to sign such players as O'Shea and Broja.

Liam implying that Tolu Arokodare is the replacement, which is very weird as they are totally different players.
I think we're going to see us start lining up in a 3-4-1-2 formation much more going forward.

Vitor switched to it in the second half vs Bournemouth, with Arias alongside JSL & Munetsi in the "10" and we did the same with Sasa and JSL with Arias behind to turn the game around against WHU on Tuesday.

If brownhill comes here on a free and is happy to be a rotation / squad player that feels like a pretty good match up. Id be happy with it

Whatever the club are trying to sell as "the project", everyone knows that really it's about trying to finish 17th for as long as they can. What sort of players want that? Either one who gets paid a lot more, or those that hope to get a move within a couple of years after impressing in a poor team. So it's players who can't get that somewhere else who come to Wolves now. No ambition.
