At the start of the window I think most of us would have been happy with 6 new signings - including 5 full internationals and a Spanish 21 year old with a great future. Selling Fab and Guedes should have been the icing on the cake.
We have replaced RAN, Cunha, Sarabia, and Semedo, plus have a second striker and a commanding central defender who can also play defensive midfield.
So in that respect the window has been a success, and should be 8/10 or even 9/10, but right now it obviously isn't.
Neither wing back seems any better than 'meh' (being generous), Arias seems lost, Lopez has only managed a few minutes, and the other two haven't played yet.
The new signings are not to blame for overall fitness issues, Agbadou and Andre not playing well, VP maybe not being as good as we hoped, for us losing our first three games, or for all 3 promoted teams having a decent start.
Feasibly it could still prove to be a decent transfer window - if Tolu and Krejci hit the ground running and the others blend in better. But very few expect all that to happen and I am not about to argue. I don't expect much from Tolu (a marginal upgrade on Munetsi), Arias probably needs a break after playing for 12 months, and there is a good chance that one or both wing back will never be prem level. Just as important as who we bought is who we didn't buy - central midfield being the obvious problem.
So, could be 8/10, could be 4/10, time will tell.
