The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Out of sasa a professional footballer, and you random bloke on the internet, I’d go with the pro footballers opinion tbh
Hehe.

Yes Professional footballers are renowned for being right about everything aren't they? And football managers, and former players? They're always right, no other opinion is worth the time of day!

Do you Keef think the S and C is likely to be at a better standard at Lask, a mid table Austrian club with an average attendance of around 12k, or at Wolves? In the Premier League, the wealthiest league in the world?

Id say a current pro footballer for a premier league club, knows more about how fast the premier league is and how tough it is after injuries than you random on the internet.
The S and C side of it I’ve no idea tbh, ill have to bow to your obvious in depth understanding on the differences between LASK and Wolves, can you explain them to me in great detail oh great knowledgable one

If you don't know the differences between LASK and Wolves from your own common sense then I'm not going to be able to help you.

So you’re unwilling to share your expert knowledge on the subject then, it’s almost as though you don’t know but like to pretend you do.
Good job I’ve already got you on ignore so I don’t have to read your know it all, never wrong on many subjects shit

I'm just gutted that I never got to go to his wife's Croatian restaurant

Need one of the Portuguese to open somewhere selling Cachorrinho, Bifana & Francesinhas

I read that to this piece of music....

I love how you state you've got me on ignore whilst responding to me repeatedly and coming at me in the first instance, just looks childish buddy.

Someone on Wolves Fancast today/yesterday saying it was VP who turned down Brownhill, not Brownhill turning us down and that was his one chance to bring in a mid.

That can't be right? Where's the original info that came out, anyone know?

We clearly weren't keen or we would have offered a deal well before the start of the season. He was definitely a Hobbs target.

Not sure why anyone is getting bent out of shape on that one, he isn't a very good PL player and he's being paid at least 3x times in Saudi what any PL club (including us) would realistically hand him.

Of course if we genuinely were saying he is the only midfielder in world football we could sign then that would be ridiculous, but the Fancast wrestling gimps know less than fuck all.

I don't think it was along lines of that he was the  only midfield target but one qe could have had but VP said no...and that narrative is a new one I hadn't heard before.

Speaking of links that have come out since the transfer window closed - according to the E&S poddy, we had a bid accepted for Senne Lammens early in the window (£22m) but then Jeff Shi didn't follow up on it and he ended up joining Man Utd.

Don't buy that one at all. No way we were committing to that kind of money on a keeper (whoever it is) before one or both of Sa or Johnstone left, and neither did, as no-one wants them.

Logically you're right, but we are not logical.

Brownhill should never have been a target for us at any stage this window. We get a lot of hyperbole here at times, but he is the definition of a complete lack of ambition. I am glad VP didn't want him, especially as there would be no way he would have taken a 12month deal I presume.

That’s what I thought, tbf. Bit random of them to throw it out there without any substance. And I don’t think any of us can second guess what Shi/Fosun would do at this point! I think Johnny Phillips said in his “penny has dropped” article that it was quite high on our agenda to sort out the goalkeeping department. Might have been Percy now I think about it? Either way, I wouldn’t put it past them to offer something stupid like that.
