Up to now most of the controversial stuff has been hard to win an argument over as his supporters simply claim he’s only done what he said he’d do. Over time hopefully the dial will shift and more moderate republicans will start to speak out. For the time being I suspect whatever the Democrats say is irrelevant and if there is going to be any opposition it will come from within.And that no one seems to (or is able to) stand up to it?

And, frankly, anyone who has put the US at the “forefront of the democratic world” hasn’t chosen well. Most powerful (ostensibly) democratic nation, maybe. But an actual paragon of democracy? It’s a myth. Has been for a long time, probably always.
