So Donny's birthday bash parade had CCR's "Fortunate Son" as part of the march past soundtrack. "Fortunate Son", became one of the anthems for the anti Vietnam War movement. The song's lyrics highlighted the ease in which rich priviliged kids could avoid the draft against the kids of poor families. Donny, of course, avoided the draft on numerous occasions because of 'growth spurs'.
