Wolves 1-2 West Ham: Verdict Thread

Gary O'Neil admits he was dismissed from the referee's room afterwards for the way he questioned referee Tony Harrington. O'Neil calls it "possibly the worst decision I have ever seen".

I'm not sure what else was needed?

I'll try again.

Yes, I set off at 8.45 this morning and arrived into Wolves at 13.17 before having a quick beer, some chips and then taking up my season ticket seat in the South Bank.

I'm currently sat on a train heading home after watching the full game and staying in Molineux after the match to boo the ref.

Hope that helps 🤷

Try not to answer the iron after drinking this time :(

Use the ignore function and you won't have to on Monday either...

Didn’t watch the game so only seen sky sports highlight.

Should’ve been 1 down. Souchek obviously wearing clown shoes.

1st goal definitely a penalty, all of our own making though which is disappointing

2nd goal is embarrassing keeping. You’d be fuming if that was a Sunday league keeper, wind or no wind. Shame as he’s been playing well of late

Kilmans goal is fine IMO. Although he’s infront of the keeper, he doesn’t effect the keepers movement, positioning or view. A striker standing in an offside position in a ‘first phase’ has more effect on the opposition than our goal, piss poor IMO. That being said, how the rule is written allows these levels of subjectivity

Think he's a bit like Kilman, needs a good defender next to him to organise him.

He's alright but isn't outstanding, would be better next to Dawson imo

Thought he'd done fine in games where he's played in the centre of the back three, lately he's been swapped with Kilman and looks absolutely dreadful when anyone gets down the side of him in the wider position.

I've already said I thought he was the best of our back 6 today. I thought he was somewhere between poor and appalling prior to Nuno joining, often unfit and often lacking in effort. For the 3 seasons he played under him I thought he was decent, in a very specific role which suited him. I also thought accommodating both him and Coady in those very specific roles was holding us back from kicking on to the next level and would have happily moved both on that Summer, 1 we did, the other we didn't. I wouldn't have brought him back, the 3 year contract is a joke, but ignoring the contract , as a squad player, who doesn't seem to cause issues as a straight backup to Semedo, it's unremarkable but OK. Starting a PL game at LWB is ridiculous, that's partly on GON as he had another option and partly on Fosun because the best LWB had to play in a position off the front on the right. We didn't lose today because of Matt Doherty
That is a reasonable take.

I am sorry but my response was not a ‘taking the piss’ reply but a serious question. Your post was based on seeing the game in person. That was all I wanted to know. I only had second hand experience of the game today hence my interest.
