Thomson, Parkin and Jonny are my three favourite Wolves' fullbacks.

For sheer talent he was second only to Peter Knowles from the time I watched Wolves at Molineux.

Dave Thomas had left before Villazan joined.

He hadn’t. Villazan arrived in the summer between the 79-80 season and the 80-81 season (when this picture was taken). Thomas made appearances in both those campaigns (albeit only a few).

I could have sworn Thomas didn't last into 80-81 and went off to play in the NASL. Maybe I'm a summer out.

He certainly played against PSV and we qualified for Europe after winning the League Cup so that dates the photo.
