Wolves History Thread

35 years ago today.

Their first goal, FFS. How does that go in.

Ian Marshall is an absolutely giant Farage-supporting wanker these days, by the way.

Two classic Bully finishes.

The contrast in those 1st and 2nd Marshall goals :ROFLMAO: Stowell getting beaten from distance again...
In fairness I'm not blaming him for that one! It's some hit.

Atrocious from Bellamy on the first Oldham goal.

First goal he kicks it onto his right foot which causes it to loop past Stowell

I was definitely there, my first ever opening day of the season as we were away in 1988 at Bury and 1989 at Middlesbrough and I didn't go (lost them both, Gary Pallister played in the latter just before he signed for United).

Didn't lose again on the opening day until 2003.

I went to Bury, two things I remember quite vividly, it was a cage, literally a cage for the away fans, and also their fans doing monkey chants at Streete - who scored.

But football was better in the 80s...

I was stood on a beer crate in the south Bank that day.
Think we won at Port Vale on the Tuesday or Wednesday after.

Actually had a really good start to the season
