Wolves Loan Watch 2025/2026

A few bits from mid-week.

Nasser Djiga played the full game in a 3-1 defeat at home to Club Brugge. We've all seen his efforts for the first, so let's just leave it at that.

Nigel Lonwijk played the full game in mid-week in a 1-0 win at home to Wigan. This time he played ar RCB but seemed to get away with it a couple of times after struggling in the air.

Arthur Nasta got his first clean sheet of the season in a 1-0 win at Enfield.

Also, check out this week's OGR.

From the weekend:

Boubacar Traore - FC Metz (Ligue 1)

Played the full game in a 3-0 defeat at Lyon. Stung the keeper's palms with a 30-yard fizzer, but didn't do much else.

Nigel Lonwijk - Luton Town (League One)

Played 58 minutes in his favoured RWB role (!) as Luton slipped to another 1-0 defeat, this time at home to Cardiff. Wonder how long the gaffer's going to persist with that particular square-peg-in-round-hole.

James Storer - Greenock Morton (Scottish Championship)
It's 3 draws out of 3 in the league for Storer and his team, the latest coming in a 2-2 draw at home to Ayr. Both goals conceded coming off set-pieces

Arthur Nasta - Hornchurch FC (National League South)
Played in a 3-1 win over Hornchurch, in which he got the assist for the third - a long ball over the top. Then played in a 3-3 draw at Salisbury this afternoon.

A YouTube short of some of his saves:

On as sub: Tommy Doyle came on for the last half hour for Blues in their 1-0 win at home to Oxford. Picked out Dykes with a nice chipped pass late on which the striker headed just over.

Not in squad: Djiga (suspended)

Two bits of mid-week news:

Nasser Djiga playing the full game in Club Brugge's 6-0 rout of Rangers. Lax defending all round but the only goal you can really put his way is the first when he seemed to forget there was a forward next to him, who duly nipped in front of him and headed it home. Still, that's 11 goals conceded in the last 3 games with him in the team.

Tommy Doyle, meanwhile, played 77 minutes in Blues' Carabao Cup defeat at home to Big Dave's Port Vale.

From the weekend:

Boubacar Traore - FC Metz (Ligue 1)

Played 90 minutes of a 3-2 defeat at Paris FC and scored to make it 2-2 in the second half. He pounced on a loose ball near the halfway line, then played a one-two before slotting home.

Goal around the 2:50 mark.

Nasser Djiga - Rangers (SPL)
Played in the stalemate vs Celtic. A clean sheet at long last, though.

Nigel Lonwijk - Luton Town (League One)
Played the full game at CB in a 3-0 win at Burton.

James Storer - Greenock Morton (Scottish Championship)
Yet another draw (four out of four in the league) in a 1-1 at St. Johnstone, although it was a decent result as SJ had won all their previous three.

Arthur Nasta - Hornchurch FC (National League South)
Played in a 3-0 win over Chippenham as Hornchurch go top with 16 points from a possible 18.

On as sub: Tommy Doyle came on for the last 15 minutes for Blues in their 2-0 defeat at Leicester.

New loans added:

Pedro Lima to Porto for the season
Dexter Lembikisa to Lincoln (League One) and Harvey Griffiths to Crewe (League Two) - both til January.
