Summer 2022 Transfer Window

We don't though. They play outside the forward not behind him the majority of the time, Podence probably being the exception. I mean we've even shoved Donck out there

Because Podence is the only one who wants to drop deep and have it to feet. Neto & Hwang both want to run in behind naturally.

The wingbacks should provide the width and the forwards should be dropping into the half spaces, if MGW plays there he should have the freedom to play his natural game with less defensive responsibilities.

Sounds like 5 at the back is here to stay then. Quite disappointed with that. Unless he’s going to have us playing some sort of hybrid 4-4-2, but we don’t have the players to do that as it stands.
Have you never heard of 4-2-3-1?

Honestly, before all the self flagellation and sackcloth and ashes maybe, just maybe actually wait for one thing to be concrete?

I don't see that as a wide forward option though which was how Jinky framed it and the role Bruno told him he was competing for in Jan

I don’t think it’s that granular. Players play towards their own natural style, like the way Adama always used to end up going towards the corner flag when on the right. If MGW played on the right of our front 3, I doubt he’ll be told he needs to run in behind like Hwang would.

The transfer window is a crazy ride for Wolves fans...9 hours ago were losing a race and just 6 hours later we entered the race

I have a hunch that Talking Wolves' trawl of Twitter and NewsNow isn't the most accurate barometer of window progression

Saves a lot of effort tbh, no harm to it.
It's posted out of context on here, he/she/they just throw everything out there on their timeline. It's not a suggestion that there's truth in any of it

I weren't keen on them cheerleading the price increases but they are entitled to their opinion.

There are a lot of people on Twitter that give them stick for the rumours but they literally just post anything that gets put out there and they don't pretend anything different. Think a lot of stick they get stems from people not understanding what the account does.

No, but having zero progression now and a history of zero progression is a decent enough baramometer.

You need to go to the Hardwick Arms - still 30 mins to last orders, have a couple of pints and chill. Nothing will change, but you'll feel better

Not sure how old (or accurate) this is, a Mexican fan just told me that their media are convinced Raul will join Roma this summer.

Doubt it, he isn't going to leave here to sit on their bench. Tammy Abraham is their clear #1 as the front man, Jose never plays two, and he'll remain with that status despite controlling the ball 20 yards constantly.

You're right, of course. Also Raul will want to play as a 9 in every game in the run up to the WC, even though he has played as a wide front man before joining us.
