The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

That is quite the random choice

I had cheese Doritos. At least yours is good for you

That's mostly why I had it, working from home I've become very set in my ways - getting out a bit now and all the choice just threw me, ended up with a falafel wrap and coconut tub in a vague effort to be healthy.

It's incredible just how difficult it is to buy a healthy lunch from most shops. No wonder our health is fucked

We've been using HelloFresh for 7 weeks now and it's really helped get over the boredom of the same foods or having to find new recipes.

Additionally what I didn't expect was it'd save us money, and buying each meal as if we were a family of 4, lots of lunches for the next day (in fact, we reduced it to 3 people recently because the portions were so generous). Hasn't totally taken away the need to cook but you can choose meals that are quick to make.

Never thought I'd be recommend something like that, but it is pretty good and saves us having the daily "what shall we have for dinner" debate, and we end up eating earlier as well. They do some pretty good opening offers if anyone is interested, and I've also got a limited amount of referral codes so you can get your first box free if anyone is interested (just DM me your email), or £46 off if I run out of codes. No contract and easy to skip weeks as we just did when we went overseas.

This might test even my love for mince pies.

Last night it was braised shoulder of lamb. Waiting to see what's on for tonight...

Came in to fish fingers, chips and peas, devoured it like a locust on a cornfield :)

Chili con carne today - made up a double batch so just had to get tonights out of the freezer then reheat with only some rice to cook.

Homemade fish pie. Bloody lovely.

Cod, prawns, crab, and salmon, cooked in a sauce .Topped with cheesy mash. Browned under the grill until grated cheese bubbles.

Was bloody tasty. One thing that puts me off cooking this is the possible lingering smells of fish after wards. None. Blinking lovely tea.
